MILBY_Soccer season is around the corner, and of course the Milby girls are getting ready to make it back to playoffs.
Senior Cecilia Rodriguez said, “Yes, little by little the girls will be prepared for soccer season.” Every work out is helping the girls get stronger. One of our teammates Jessica Jaimes said, “If you put in hard work and dedication we will be a good team!”
Coach said, “We have 12 seniors which is more than we’ve ever had, and I am more uncertain about the team than I have been in four years. We had the best team last year in school history and this year there is very little varsity experience.”
Fundraisers are going to help us get the money we need to buy soccer equipment. For example hoodies, sweatpants, shirts and more. I think if we put all of our effort in our soccer practices soon our team will be as good as last year’s team. The first game is December 28th here at Milby versus the Elkins Lady Knights and the first district game is January 25th against the Davis Lady Panthers, the only team to finish ahead of Milby in last year’s district race. Getting prepared is really important because that will determine how we’re going to do in the field. Let’s just hope we make it to playoffs and make the best out of it. #GoLadyBuffs
