“Olympus Has Fallen” Movie Review by Yesenia Rodriguez c/o 14

Released on March 22 2013, the movie was a great hit. It has gotten a four star rating. To some people it has been such a coincidence about how North Korea is trying to attack somebody and then this movie has come out.

Some people are actually freaking out about what’s going on with the current events since obviously the United States has officially said they will help them and intervene. The US commander says “they are ready to help defend its friends in the region”.

Back to the movie it is about the United States president being kidnapped by a terrorist who is from North Korea and seizes the White House.

Old Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. Banning’s is one of the most loyal guards the president had but was released since going to a meeting on Christmas an accident occurred and he was only able to save the president and not his wife.

Then when Mike see’s what is happening and the white house is being shot at he takes his chances and chooses to defend his country. He is the only one left of all the guards and since he had worked there before he knows his way through and the secret ways.

He is able to find the president’s son and get him out of there right before the terrorists find him. As the national security team rushes to respond, they must rely on Banning’s insider knowledge to save the President and prevent an even greater catastrophe. They had to rely on mikes loyalty to save the president.

As Mike did save his life and many others the president was in great debt and was very grateful. Once he did mike was able to get back on the team and be the president’s guard once again.
