Spring Game Releases by Julissa Enriquez c/o 15

As a gamer, sometimes you get tired of playing the same old games over and over again. This spring, there are many new game releases for your gaming pleasure.

First off with “The Last of Us”, it is based on a post-apocalyptic U.S.A. where a duo has to find their way across the United States, which has been attacked by a deadly plague. Naughty Dog (a game developer) has made the game as realistic as possible by adding the new Al system which brings a balance to the situations. For example, if Joel, the main character, is using a handgun, the enemy will possibly react as one would and the health bar will too; simply one shot is enough to kill them. This Play Station 3 exclusive is planned to be released June 14.

Now, if you’re an Xbox fan you might have enjoyed the previous “Gears of War” and might be excited for the new “Gears of War: Judgment”. If you had any problems with the previous game, you will definitely not have any with this one because it has been revamped. The levels are said to be shorter, action packed and filled with all kinds of rewards. “Gears of War: Judgment introduces a variety of new multiplayer experiences, including OverRun, a thrilling new class-based competitive mode that will pit Locust and COG soldiers in a head-to-head battle unlike anything Gears fans have experienced yet,” said IGN.com. This game was actually released not so long ago on March 19.

And lastly, for those Nintendo fans come, “Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon”. This game is a sequel to the GameCube’s “Luigi’s Mansion” which came out in 2001. Back into the haunted houses, Luigi tries to capture ghosts with his famous “Poltergust ghost-sucking vacuum cleaner”. This sequel lets the player choose from many haunted houses and has a new variety of ghosts to capture and of course, some new puzzles with that.  Since this game will be released on the Nintendo 3DS, it will have 3D effects and expected to be the game to be one of the best looking games out for the system. The game will be released on March 24th, just a few days from now.

Now, don’t become bored with the same games, go out, and don’t play for too long.
