What do you think about public displays of affection (PDA)? What comes to mind when someone asks you that question? Many teachers disagree with public affection involving students. Yet other teachers honestly don’t care. I am still debating the situation; at the moment, things can go either way for me.
When it comes to showing public displays of affection, some students really do cross the line. For example, I’ll be walking the halls and from the corner of my eye, I see a couple eating each other’s faces. Really? They should do that when they’re alone because no one wants to see them do their business. Respect yourself and each other, especially in public.
On the other hand, some students are private about their relationship. If they kiss in public it’s just a peck on the lips or a kiss on the cheek. That’s not as bad just as long as they don’t start making out in front of everyone. I can understand if school is the only time you see each other, but you should not be making out in public any way.
I can relate to those people whose parents won’t allow them to be in a relationship because if my parents even thought that I had a boyfriend, they would kill me. So what I am trying to say is that it may seem okay to you to display PDA, but to the public, it’s sometimes disturbing. If you’re in a relationship, please keep it “PG” in public because I’m sure I voice the opinion of myself and the public.
